How to Integrate Testuff with Asana

Testuff seamlessly integrates with Asana, allowing you to automatically send every reported defect to your Asana account. This integration enables you to continue running manual tests in Testuff while using Asana for bug tracking.

Configuring Testuff for Asana

To set up the integration between Testuff and Asana, follow these steps:

  1. Access Bug Tracker Settings:
    • Go to Settings in Testuff.
    • Select the Bug Trackers option.
    • Click on the Add bug tracker link.
  2. Select Asana:
    • From the bug tracker options, choose Asana from the dropdown list.
    • Enter your Asana default Workspace and Project.
  3. Set Up API Token:
    • In your browser, go to your Asana account.
    • Navigate to Settings > My Profile Settings > Apps > Manage Developer Apps.
    • Under the PERSONAL ACCESS TOKENS section, click Create New Personal Access Token.
    • Enter Testuff in the description and click Create.
    • Copy the API Token and paste it into Testuff under Set my Asana user.
    • If needed, you can further customize the integration using the Customize bug tracker fields option.

Enable Two-Way Integration

Click the Create Webhook to Asana link in Testuff to enable automatic defect status updates from Asana back to Testuff. This ensures better defect management with our unique two-way integration.

Associating an Asana Project with a Testuff Project

To link a specific Testuff project with an Asana project, follow these steps:

  1. Select a Testuff Project:
    • In Testuff, go to Settings and choose the Projects menu option.
    • Select the project by clicking on the Edit link next to it.
  2. Configure the Bug Tracker:
    • Under the General Settings section within Bug Tracker settings, choose the relevant Asana project from the dropdown list.
  3. Save Your Settings: Click the SAVE button to apply the changes.

Note for Desktop Client Users: The process is similar, though you may need to navigate differently, such as accessing the `Manage projects` link from the home screen.
