How to Integrate Testuff with BugTracker.NET

Testuff integrates smoothly with BugTracker.NET, allowing you to automatically send reported defects from Testuff to BugTracker.NET while continuing to manage your manual tests.

Configuring Testuff for BugTracker.NET

Configuring Testuff for BugTracker.NET
To set up the integration between Testuff and BugTracker.NET, follow these steps:

  1. Access Bug Tracker Settings:
    • In Testuff, go to Settings.
    • Select the Bug Trackers menu option.
    • Click the Add bug tracker link.
  2. Select BugTracker.NET:
    • Choose BugTracker.NET from the bug tracker options dropdown.
    • Enter the BugTracker.NET server address in the URL field. Ensure this is the BugTracker.NET URL, omitting any file names that appear after the last slash.
    • Set the Default Project. Defects exported from Testuff projects without a custom BugTracker.NET project will use this project name.
  3. Test the Configuration:
    • Click the Submit a sample defect report button to ensure that Testuff can create bug reports in BugTracker.NET. If successful, the new bug report should appear in BugTracker.NET.
  4. Save Settings: Don’t forget to click SAVE to register the new settings.

Associating a Custom BugTracker.NET Project with a Testuff Project

You can link a specific Testuff project to a custom BugTracker.NET project by following these steps:

  1. Select a Testuff Project:
    • In Testuff, go to Settings and select the Projects menu option.
    • Choose the project by clicking on the Edit link next to it.
  2. Configure the Bug Tracker:
    • Under the General Settings section within Bug Tracker settings, select BugTracker.NET from the tracker dropdown list.
    • Enter the relevant BugTracker.NET project for this Testuff project.
  3. Save Your Settings: Click SAVE to apply the changes.

 
Note for Desktop Client Users: The process is similar, but you may need to navigate differently, such as using the “Manage projects” link from the home screen.
