How to Integrate Testuff with Gemini

Testuff allows you to automatically send every reported defect to your Gemini account, providing seamless manual testing in Testuff while using Gemini for bug tracking.

Configuring Testuff for Gemini

Follow these steps to set up the integration between Testuff and Gemini:

  1. Access Bug Tracker Settings:
    • Go to Settings in Testuff.
    • Select Bug Trackers.
    • Click on the Add Bug Tracker link.
  2. Select Gemini:
    • From the bug tracker dropdown, choose Gemini.
    • Enter the Gemini server URL, ensuring it includes only the base URL without any file names after the last slash.
    • Set the Default Project. Any defects exported from Testuff projects without a custom Gemini project will use this default project name.
  3. Submit a Sample Defect:
    • Click the Submit sample link to verify that Testuff can create bug reports in Gemini. A new bug report should appear in your Gemini account if the setup is successful.
    • Remember to click SAVE (or OK in the desktop client) to register the settings.

Adding Custom Fields to Gemini Integration

You can customize the fields in your defect reports for Gemini. Simply go to Customize Bug Tracker Fields (In the Bug Tracker Settings window), click Show Available Custom Fields and select the fields to add to the bug reporter.

Associating a Custom Gemini Project with a Testuff Project

To link a specific Testuff project to a custom Gemini project:

    • Go to Settings and choose the Projects menu.
    • Click Edit next to the project you wish to configure.
  2. Configure the Bug Tracker:
    • Under the General Settings section, ensure the Tracker field is set to Gemini.
    • Enter the Gemini project name for this Testuff project.
  3. Save Your Settings: Click SAVE (or OK in the desktop client) to apply the changes.
