Latest Version: Testuff V3.132 August 2026

🤖 AI-Powered Run Prioritization in Lab

Speed up your testing with intelligent execution order.

You can now prioritize tests within a Lab run using AI. The prioritization engine analyzes multiple factors to determine the most relevant execution order, helping your team find critical issues earlier and make the most of every test cycle.

The AI considers:

  • Requirements: Direct links to your project requirements.
  • Relevancy: Historical test trends and usage patterns.
  • Failure History: Recent failures and past execution results.
  • Related Defects: Active and resolved defects associated with each test.

An optional setting lets you keep tests from the same suite together while still benefiting from AI-driven prioritization.

🔄 Automatic 2-Way Integration with Redmine

Keeping defects synchronized across systems shouldn’t require manual work.

Testuff now supports automatic 2-way integration with Redmine. Once connected, updates made to defects in either Testuff or Redmine are automatically synchronized, helping everyone stay on the same page.

The integration works with both hosted Redmine services and self-hosted (on-premises) Redmine installations, giving teams the flexibility to use it regardless of how Redmine is deployed.

🧹 Clear Filters in My Tasks & Tests

Sometimes it’s the little things that make your day just a bit smoother.

We’ve added the Clear Filters icon to both the My Tasks and Tests screens, bringing the same quick reset experience already available on the Defects screen.

When you’ve drilled down with multiple filters, a single click clears them all and gets you back to the full list. One less small annoyance in your daily workflow.

As always, our support team is here to assist with any questions or issues.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Defects for Review AI Report

As part of our ongoing AI journey, we’re introducing the Defect Cleanup Candidates insight report. This new report is designed to help you understand the quality of defects in your backlog, much like how the Ineffective Tests Indications report helps assess test effectiveness.

The report provides a clear defects score and highlights key indicators such as defects being reopened multiple times, defects left open too long, missing closure explanations, and defects not connected to tests. It even leverages AI to spot defects that need clarification or are well-documented enough for automated understanding.

Why this matters

By identifying patterns in defect management, you can improve backlog hygiene, ensure faster resolution, and maintain traceable, high-quality defect records. The report gives you actionable insights at a glance, letting your team focus on what needs attention most.

How to make the most of it

Review the report regularly to spot trends, prioritize interventions, and refine your defect management practices. Over time, it helps reduce inefficiencies and ensures your defect backlog reflects the true quality of your work.

AI Test Generation: Suggest Steps with AI Help

We’ve improved the AI-driven test generation from defects by giving you more control over which part of a defect is used for generating tests.

Now, when suggesting steps with AI help, you can:

  • Use the entire defect description for context.
  • Or select only a specific part of the description to focus the AI on the most relevant information.
  • Edit the selected part directly before generating tests to make sure the AI works with exactly what you need.

This change gives your team more flexibility and precision when converting defects into test steps, making AI-assisted test generation smarter and more tailored to your workflow.

Test Runner: Improved Handling of Blocked Steps

We’ve enhanced the Test Runner to give you better control and visibility when dealing with blocked steps. Now, clicking on a blocked step will open the Bug Reporter, just like it already does for failed steps.

This allows you to:

  • Link the blocked step to an existing defect.
  • Or report a new defect directly from the step.
  • Clearly document the reason for the block as part of your defect tracking.

This improvement makes it easier to maintain traceability, provide context for blocked executions, and keep your defect workflow consistent across all step statuses.

Better Management: Testuff Jira App Enhancements

We’ve always said that the “little things” in your daily routine aren’t small—they are the friction-reducers that keep your team moving.

In this release, we’ve added column sorting to tables within the Testuff Jira App. Whether you are looking at your test runs or requirements directly inside Jira, you can now sort by any column to find exactly what you need in seconds. It’s a simple tweak that makes managing your testing lifecycle from within Jira even smoother.

Since we’ve launched Testuff test management, 15 years ago, it included integration with other tools. We’ve added many tools during the years but explored new ways to enhance these integrations and find new approaches to make them more effective.

And now, with a new automation integration approach, you can easily report all of your automation test results at once to Testuff – and we’ll do the rest for you.
Check it out Here. You can read how to easily report unittest automation test results to Testuff from several platforms, such as Python, Java, and Javascript.

What else is new in our latest version:

  • Shared steps: The originating test name is now shown for shared steps, for easier editing and understanding of the test while editing.
  • Bug trackers integration: You can set up different lists of custom field values, for each tracker project. Simply add the project’s name before the value (Project name1:val1, Project name1:val2, Project name2:val3, etc.) to get only the project’s values while reporting to this project. The best integration gets even better.
  • Jira integration: Yes, we continue to improve our integrations! Import Jira filters their ID. Use it to easily import your requirements or defects into Testuff.

Summer or not, vacations or not, we’re moving full speed ahead. Enhancing as always your test management solution:

  • Desktop-client UI Organization and Customization: Showing data the way you want it, and the way you need it, isn’t just a convenience. It actually makes your work easier, presenting only what matters to you and in the order that serves you best. Testuff offers numerous ways to customize data, and screen organization, and we’re now adding a new option that allows you to rearrange and switch the order of all table columns to the order of your preference. This is on top of the option to hide/show columns.
  • Test Execution:
    • Running tests isn’t just about following up the written steps. Understanding the big picture is crucial – comprehending the test’s purpose, the set of tests it belongs to, and, of course, the original requirement it is associated with. The new link in the Test Runner to the list of requirements, a test is assigned to, facilitate this process. No need to go to other screens or stop the execution to find the information.
    • Editing a run: A result of a direct request by users, we’ve added a way to remove defects from executed steps. Changed your mind? Need to move it to another step? It’s there for you while editing the run.
  • Reporting and research: Getting all the information from your account, and from various segments, is crucial for analyzing results, learning and improving. As you know we support an extensive list of reports of all kinds, and have now added to the latest version a way to print all comments reported in a lab.
  • Trackers integration: Constantly improving our integrations with the different trackers, we have made adjustments to accommodate API changes on the trackers’ side, added functionalities, and more., adjusting to API changes on the trackers side, adding functionalities, and more.

July 2, 2023

Our long-time users know we are small changes enthusiastic. Applications are best when they work for users, and to do that they need to not only include those bells and whistles features, but also those little things that make the work of the users easier, faster, and more efficient. This month’s version has a few of these, in different areas:

  • Bug Tracker Integration:
    • Jira: Testuff integration with Jira was always a strong, two-way, automatic integration with data and updates flow in both directions, allowing the team better collaboration and an efficient testing-development relationship. We’re continuously enhancing the integration and this time we’ve enforced the connection between the requirements, their assigned tests, and defects reported from these tests. Defects reported from tests, assigned to requirements that were imported from Jira Epic issues, can be automatically linked to these Jira Epic issues, adding information from Testuff into Jira, helping testers and developers stay on top of the testing information flow.
    • Redmine: Additional custom field types were added to the integration with Redmine.
    • File attachments: Attachments on reported defects will now show their actual original names in the tracker, rather than just a link.
  • Audit Trail: The new ‘Diff’ feature on the audit trail details, was presented in last month’s version and received great feedback. We’ve now included this change in all audit trails – tests, defects, and other elements.
  • Labs:
    • The Test ID # was added to the details of tests in the lab, to help with identifying the tests and their suite location. Note that in both the desktop and web clients you can control which details will show in the lab for the assigned tests, and customize them for whatever details you need while working.
    • Lab Labels: Labs include now an option to apply labels to them, making it easier to group labs and identify them by labels.

June 4, 2023

New month, a new version, and as always new stuff on Testuff. The monthly release includes a few changes in different areas:

  • Audit Trail Changes Presentation: The audit trail is an important feature to many of our regulated customers. The audit presentation was enhanced, document-management or development-tools style, to show the exact difference between the versions of the audited item, and you can now copy text from the audit text.
  • Labs: A new field added to the lab – “Notes” – where managers can add information about the lab, its outcome and data that can help when creating the next lab/cycle.
  • Reports: Many users are using our Scheduled Reports to get timely updates on certain aspects of the testing projects. We’ve now added new information on these reports.
  • Integrations: Testuff integration with other testing tools is a unique part of our test management solution, for its range (of tools supported), for the way the integration works (two-way, automatic updates) and for additional apps we add to support a seamless and transparent flow of data between Testuff and these tools, such as our Jira App. We’re always making progress to make it even better, and this month we’ve added new features on Redmine integration to allow an easy and fast setup of the integration, allowing retrieving available custom fields and their values directly from Redmine.

April 30, 2023

Lot’s of new stuff on Testuff. This month’s new version introduces a few additions:

  • Test editing control. Stay on top of the test editing process with Tests Staging:
    • Disable editing of tests with your own selected stage value: Using this, you can make sure tests, carrying the selected stage, cannot be edited. Only admins can change the stage and edit these tests.
    • Revision update reminder for a specific stage value: Groups that work with test revision, knowing which version of the test they tested, can make sure revisions are set with the correct number, and not forgotten by the test editors.
  • Testuff-Jira App: As promised, we’re constantly enhancing our unique Jira App, making it even more useful. This time you’ll notice new Jira type issues which carry Testuff data. Get your testing data, tests, and defects details, directly into your Jira issues. Make your testing projects successful.

April 2, 2023

Here’s what’s new:

  • Test Editor:
    • Shared Steps: Easy access to the shared steps originating test, for quick editing and review.
    • Tables: Creating a table is always an available option, and now pasting a Word table is supported as well. Anything to help you with your work.
  • Tests Search and Filtering:
    • Custom Fields: Wild Card search is supported now for custom fields, under the filters window. Identify the tests you’re looking for, faster and easier.
    • Tests search: Looking for tests across projects, which was introduced a few months ago, includes now the search by labels option. Identify the tests you’re looking for, faster and easier.
  • Validate fixed defects: The defect validation process was enhanced to include creating a matching test, choosing who to send the validation test to, where to locate it (which lab), and where to create the test (which suite) and control your testing process closer phase better.
  • Testuff-Jira App: Our unique Jira marketplace app is constantly enhanced, and now new data, from Testuff, was added to the bug details in Jira.

In recent versions, we’ve added fast and easy ways to create labs structure directly from suites and re-create labs structure in other branches. Our new version includes a new option to easily create requirements with the same suite names and structure. These all will help you not only speed up your work but also maintain the best structure for your testing project on all fronts (test repository, requirements, and labs management).
We’re also excited to add the 36th bug tracker integration! Welcome Open Project users, who will now enjoy Testuff’s two-way unique integration.

January 29, 2023

Starting 2023 strong and fast. A new Testuff version with lots of valuable changes and additions. Some are UI changes, to make things easier to understand, others are performance related (such as deletion of suites or branches), and others are feature enhancements (such as nesting the automatically-created linked suite from the requirements module, or test search which now includes searching by ID).
Keep sending those useful suggestions and ideas – we listen!

January 1, 2023

The last monthly version for 2022 includes a few new additions, designed to help with your work and testing – as we always do. In the Requirements module, we’ve introduced an archive option with which you can organize your requirements structure relevant and up-to-date (and make it tidy for the new year…). We’ve also introduced a new printing option for comments, on all screens (so for all of the different items such as defects, tests, runs, etc.). You can now get a list of all comments made, and make sure they are all taken care of.
Don’t forget to join the buzz, and the many users, who are already enjoying our new Jira App. Using it together with our best-in-industry Jira integration will help you, and your colleagues on the project, to communicate better and get the data flowing between testing and development. It’s a present you can give your development team for the new year.

December 4, 2022

Plenty of exciting new stuff on Testuff. Holidays period and we’re sharing enhancements as gifts :-)

  • Managing your test repository, and using it for better test planning:
    • You can now create labs directly from the tests screen, keeping the same suite structure, while assigning (or not) the tests in these suites in their corresponding labs. Select the Create lab option from the suite menu. It’s that easy.
    • Worked to create a lab structure to fit your testing plans? You can use it again with one click. Find the Copy structure menu option on a lab, and use it to copy the lab, with all its sub-labs hierarchy. Paste it anywhere in your account (including other branches and projects). It’s that easy.
  • Jira integration: The best Jira integration of test management tools, just got better. It now includes attachments when importing issues, and when using Jira Webhook (enabled in Testuff) attachments changed in Jira will be automatically updated in Testuff (for both defects and requirements).
  • And there’s much more:
    • User management: control your license allocation better with the new pause status for testers. Unlike using delete, you’ll be able to resume the same tester, keeping their details in Testuff.
    • Share feature enhanced: A link to the shared item (lab, suite, defect) was added for direct access to it and faster and easier work.
    • Right-click on HTML windows allows copying of highlighted text (Desktop client)
    • Filters on the Labs and My Tasks screen support multiple selections of run configuration values. Fine-tune your preferred task list.

October 30, 2022

Just been a short time since the release of our unique Jira App, and we’re already adding new options to it, thanks to the good feedback and great ideas from users. The app’s dashboard screen is now customizable with a list of different data views to select from. Control your testing project directly from Jira, and follow up on its progress.

October 2, 2022

We’re excited to announce the release of our unique Testuff-Jira App!
This revolutionary app lets project managers, who work with Jira, have all the relevant information from Testuff at their fingertips, from within Jira, with a view of Testuff dashboard in Jira. The new app automatically adds to Jira information from Testuff: Defect information to Jira issues, and Requirement coverage information to Jira Stories.
We believe it is a game changer. No other test management tool has the capability of a true and seamless integration from within Jira. Using this app will make your workflow much more effective and save you time.

And that’s not all, we have more:

  • Projects and branches structure: Copying a whole branch into a new branch (moving to a new product version? a new product?) just got better. Copy not only all tests repository and requirements, but also all labs, with their structure saved. As always, trying to make your work easier and faster.
  • Requirements: The requirements editor has now a preview mode. Make sure the details and design are right for you before saving the requirement.

September 4, 2022

Testuff summer monthly version includes enhancements in different areas:

  • Test details editing and management: File attachments in tests are now available on the step level, on top of the test level attachment. Attach your files and relate each file to a specific step, making the tests more accurate, precise, and easier for testers to follow and execute.
  • Reports are important as always, and we’re making additions and improvements constantly. This month we have turned the Tester activity report into a working tool, and not only a report, with links to the actual test lists the numbers of the report represent.
  • We know that the speed of work is crucial, and are constantly working to improve Testuff’s load time and response time of screens and actions. Groups with many suites in a branch will notice a much-improved screen loading time, which is a result of a new approach to screen creation.

We wish to thank all the users who send us suggestions and ideas, and encourage them – and you – to continue the dialog, with which we make Testuff even better!

July 31, 2022

Every testing project includes daily work, writing tests, executing them, and reporting defects. While that is done, there’s a need for group leaders and managers to control the process, follow up on the results of this work, and adjust the different aspects of the projects accordingly. All to make the project successful. Testuff gives managers tools, reports, and capabilities to enable this.
The new monthly version includes a new dashboard data element for Defect Age assessment. Knowing when defects were opened, how many weeks have passed since then, and being able to understand which are open too long and need review.
We’re also excited to introduce a new Global Search option, allowing the account administrators to search for tests across all projects, not just within the current branch. This is important for any group with multiple projects, using master repositories, as a baseline for new branches and projects.

July 3, 2022

Each new version of Testuff test management is special, even if it doesn’t have any visible new features. There’s always work behind the scenes, and there’s always a need for stability and continuation. This month’s version is all about more than meets the eye. Each version is a step forward from the previous one.

May 29, 2022

Those who follow Testuff long enough, and anyone who will review our monthly updates in recent years, know that we always emphasize the importance of improvements that makes the work with Testuff easier, faster, and more efficient. Referred to as little things that make a change (rather than bells and whistles enhancements, that make good PR and less real change…) these improvements help make Testuff a tool that works for you, rather than you work for it.
And this month’s new version includes a new option to create a table, directly as a paste of Excel content, and better sorting of testers list in the lab.

We’re also happy to get the recognition for our two-way integration with Asana, and see Testuff added as a Platform Partner with Asana. You can integrate your Asana with Testuff, or any other tool you are using for your testing project.

May 1, 2022

In this month’s new version, we are welcoming Shortcut project management solution to our long list of supported integrations. Keep using your software development and testing tools together with Testuff, with our two-way integrations.
We are also continuing to expand our API, and recently added additional options for you to work with. Check out the full list of resources here.
As mentioned in the previous monthly notes, we’ll be soon releasing Testuff-Jira Addon. This unique option will allow you to work with Testuff from within Jira.

April 3, 2022

A significant part of the testing process is Defect validation. Closing the testing-Cycle, by sending a validation request for the defect found during testing, and that was reported now as fixed. This validation step is relevant whether you are using the Testuff defect module or an external bug tracker.
The defects, that have been fixed, and are included in your upcoming version, need to be validated. This can be done in one of two ways:

  • Rerun the same test, in which the defect was found
  • Creating a dedicated test run to validate the defect fix, using Send to validation feature, enabled on defects

In our new monthly version, we have improved the validation process by adding an option to set the estimated time on the created test run. Adding the estimated time allows more accurate tracking of the total testing time and better allocation of resources to the testing process. It is also a part of the Testuff Time Management process, which is a powerful tool, which allows for managing your testing estimated time, actual testing time, comparison between the two, and much more.

And there’s much more to come – we’ll be soon releasing a great new option for your Testuff-Jira integration. It’s a unique addon in Jira that will allow you to work with Testuff from within Jira. Let us know if you wish to be included in the beta group for this exciting addition

February 27, 2022

What’s on our new monthly version:

  • Asana integration is enhanced and includes now automatic updates of defects status, as set in Asana. Asana is joining many other trackers, with whom Testuff supports two-way integration.
  • Testuff Defect Template feature presents a newly available tag, for showing the test precondition in the reported defect.
  • Our working efficiently with Testuff approach, for our test management tool, drives us to constantly look for those things that will make Testuff work for you, and be an efficient tool for your testing. This time we’ve enhanced many reports to include links, to the actual relevant items. This enables you to work directly on these lists (be it tests, runs, or defects), immediately reacting to the data and analysis of the results, shown in these reports.

January 30, 2022

Testuff supports integration with a very long list of software development and testing tools, project management, and requirements solutions. Integrations with bug tracker tools are offered in an industry-unique two-way approach, with data going from Testuff to the tracker, and updates are sent back from the tracker.
Our new addition to that list is ClickUp. Submit your defects directly from Testuff to your ClickUp workspace and make your workflow more efficient.

January 2, 2022

Our last monthly version of 2021 introduces enhancements to the way printouts are created. This allows faster, and more reliable results to any request for an Excel or a browser printout. The changes were applied to all of the different parts of Testuff test management.

We’ve also improved the Test Template feature, which allows the creation of custom fields on tests.
